Cleaning & Care

This indoor-outdoor rug uses polypropylene. Follow the care label supplied with the rug first, particularly any requirements for its backing.

  • Vacuum regularly with low suction and a suction-only head. Avoid rotating brushes, beater bars and catching the edges.
  • Blot spills promptly with a clean, dry, light-coloured cloth. Do not rub or scrub.
  • Only if the care label permits spot cleaning, test a mild rug-safe cleaner on a concealed area and use sparingly with a cloth. Do not saturate the backing.
  • Check beneath the rug for trapped moisture, especially after rain or cleaning. Allow the rug, backing and floor underneath to dry completely with good airflow before replacing it.
  • Indoor-outdoor use does not automatically mean the rug can be hosed down, steam cleaned or machine washed. Use these methods only when the manufacturer explicitly permits them; avoid bleach, concentrated cleaners and heat drying.
  • For stubborn stains or a full clean, use a professional rug cleaner and explain the polypropylene construction and backing.
